Russian communists mark the 96th anniversary of Vladimir Lenin's death

Today marks the 96th anniversary since the death of the greatest revolutionary of the 20th Century, the continuer of Marx and Engel's theoretical work and architect of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. 

For this reason, hundreds of workers, men and women, members and supporters of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), as well as other communist groups and youth organizations, gathered at Moscow's Red Square, in order to lay flowers the Mausoleum of Lenin. 

The event was attended by a delegation of the CC of the CPRF headed by Chairman Gennady Zyuganov. 

Berlin Conference's "wish list" cannot reverse the real causes of Libya conflict — KKE

The Press Bureau of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) issued today a statement, published on 902 portal, about the conclusion of the Berlin Conference on Libya. 

The statement reads: 

"The Berlin Conference finally has neither brought nor could bring a solution that would ensure peace, stability in Libya and the interests of the Libyan people. After all, the leaders of the Conference themsleves are responsible for the 2011 NATO war and the dissolution of Libya, for the ongoing military conflicts that have brought this country’s people to misery. 

Communist MEP Lefteris Nikolaou blasts the EU for attempting to re-write History

"The EU will not succeed to re-write people's history, no matter how much anti-communist ink will spill" was the message delivered by the MEP of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) Lefteris Nikolaou-Alavanos in his intervention during EU Parliament's plenary in Strasbourg. 

The debate's subject was "Distortion of European history and remembrance of the Second World War". In his intervention, the KKE MEP pointed out the following (translation from the Greek text): 

Communist Party of Britain included alongside neo-Nazis in UK counter-terror list!

In an outrageous act that promotes the despicable and historically groundless equation of communism with nazism/fascism, the U.K. Home Office has lumbed together the Communist Party of Britain (CPB) with neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups in literature and posters supposedly designed to educate officers about extremism.

Read the joint statement issued by the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) regarding the latest regional developments in East Mediterranean as well as the relations between the two countries:

KKE-TKP: Greek and Turkish Communists join their voices against war and imperialist plans

KKE MEP: Greek government's support to the US-EU-NATO imperialist plans is dangerous

The MEP of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), Kostas Papadakis,  made an intervention in the discussion on the "situation in Iran and Iraq after the recent escalation" at the European Parliament plenary in Strasbourg, stressing the following: 

"We denounce the US attack on Iraq that led to casualties, including Iranian and Iraqi military officials. We denounce the US plan to declare the Middle East as NATO's territory. The dangerous involvement of the EU - in the framework of escalating competitions for energy control - aims to benefit itself. It invokes the same provocative pretexts of justifying wars such as in Yugoslavia, Syria, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan that condemn the peoples to be refugees and in misery. We express our solidarity with the families of the victims of the Ukrainian plane crash  for which the Iranian government has a huge responsibility. 

KKE: The Berlin Conference on Libya is not a process for the benefit of the Libyan people

On the occasion of the International Conference on Libya that is taking place in Berlin and the discussion about Greece's non-participation in it, the Press Bureau of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) issued a statement which was published on 902 portal.

Nazim Hikmet. The great Turkish poet of the world's working class whose poems praised and highlighted the people's struggles for a better future without exploitation. 

The man whose poems expressed the revolutionary desires and hopes of the proletariat, of the poor and despised people in every corner of the world. 

It was 118 years ago, on January 15, 1902, when Nazim Hikmet Ran was born in Thessaloniki, then part of the Ottoman Empire, from a Turkish father and a mother of German, Polish and Georgian descent. 

Joint Statement by Communist and Workers’ Parties condemns U.S attack in the Middle East

In a joint statement, Communist and Workers' Parties from all over the world condemn the U.S. attack in Baghdad airport which has led to the escalation of tensions in the Middle East and express solidarity with the people of Iran and Iraq. 

The statement is the following: 

The Communist and Workers’ Parties, denounce the new criminal military attack of the USA on the ground of a foreign country, in the international airport of Iraq, under Trump’s command, which resulted to victims, with officials of Iraq and an Iranian General among them. This constituted a flagrant violation of international law and the sovereignty of Iraq.

Berlin: Thousands marched in honor of Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht

Thousands of workers, members and supporters of communist and left parties, marched on Sunday 12 January in Berlin, honoring the memory of the leaders of the German and international communist movement, Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht. 

The two revolutionaries were brutally murdered 101 years ago, in January 1919, by paramilitary forces under the orders of the German bourgeoisie and the then social democratic government of SPD.

KKE General Secretary Dimitris Koutsoumbas pays tribute to Karl Marx

Dimitris Koutsoumbas, the General Secretary of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), concluded his three-day stay in London with a visit at Highgate Cemetery where the grave of Karl Marx is located. 

Accompanied by numerous members of the KKE and its youth wing KNE, Dimitris Koutsoumbas laid a wreath on the grave on behalf of the Party. With their fists raised the attendees shouted slogans such as "KKE, the people's party" and "A century of struggles and sacrifices, the KKE in the vanguard".

Marx Memorial Library — an oasis of education, ideas and history in the heart of London

The above statement was made by Dimitris Koutsoumbas, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), after his visit at the Marx Memorial Library on Friday, January 10th. 

KKE slams ND-SYRIZA: "They are firm U.S allies and continue fooling the Greek people"

American and Canadian communists condemn U.S. aggression against Iran

Communist parties from the United States and Canada have condemned the U.S. attack in Baghdad, which led to the death of Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani and the escalation of Trump government's imperialist aggression against Iran. At the same time, thousands of people took the streets in many cities across the U.S., joining the anti-war movement and demonstrating against the drone attack in Iraq.
