GDR at 75: The German Democratic Republic was a milestone in the world revolutionary process

Declaration of the Central Committee of the Party of Labour of Austria (PdA) on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) on 7 October 1949:

The founding of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) 75 years ago was initially a necessary reaction to the founding of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) by the three Western Allies. With the creation of the FRG, the Western occupying powers - the USA, Great Britain and France - had laid the foundations for the resurgence of German imperialism, albeit under US supervision. Before and after the founding of the GDR, German communists in both countries aimed for a united Germany from which war should never again start.

Party of Labour of Austria (PdA): Strengthen the Marxist-Leninist pole of the international communist movement!

Resolution of the 6th Congress of the Party of Labour of Austria (PdA), Linz, 10 February 2024:

The international communist movement continues to remain in a process of differentiation. It is the consequences of the counter-revolution in the USSR and Eastern Europe, but also a continuation of modern revisionism and "Eurocommunism" as well as the invention and propagation of false ideas and goals such as "market socialism" or a capitalism transformed into a "society of solidarity", which are unfolding their negative effects in the ICM.

Austrian Communists slam Zelensky's appearance at Vienna Parliament

The Party of Labour of Austria (PdA) sharply criticises the propaganda appearance of the Ukrainian president Zelensky in the Vienna parliament.

The representative of a war party as well as of a reactionary, repressive regime is out of place in the democratic heart of a neutral country. What is needed is a policy of neutrality and peace instead of NATO war propaganda.

The founding of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics on 30 December 1922 marked the greatest state-political achievement of the revolutionary working class to date. It was the result of the Great October Socialist Revolution of 1917, the successful struggle of the young Russian Soviet Republic against counterrevolution and interventions, the overcoming of civil war and so-called "war communism".

Vienna Attack: Statement by the Party of Labour of Austria

Statement by the Central Committee of the Party of Labour of Austria (PdA) on the terrorist attack in Vienna:

We condemn yesterday's attack in Vienna, which according to initial information was carried out by a sympathizer of the "Islamic State". Our sympathy goes to the victims of this heinous terrorist attack, all civilians and police officers who were injured and all relatives who lost people.

Religious fundamentalism, as we see it today, is a product of imperialism and serves capital as an instrument of domination and power. In the countries of the Near and Middle East, it is precisely the most reactionary religious groups and states which are the closest allies of imperialism in the struggle against democratic and revolutionary movements.
