Russians honor Stalin's 145th birth anniversary

Despite the usual freezing temperatures, hundreds of Muscovites gathered on Saturday 21/12 in Red Square in order to commemorate the 145th birth anniversary of Joseph Stalin

Waiving soviet flags, holding portraits of Stalin and flowers, Communist Party members, workers, men and women, people of every age created a long queue in order to pay tribute to the late leader's grave at the Kremlin Necropolis. Similar events took place in other Russian cities as well, including Saint Petersburg (Leningrad).

Moscow: Thousands commemorated Joseph Stalin's 70th death anniversary

Defying cold and low temperatures thousands of Muscovites gathered in Red Square on Sunday 5 March in order to commemorate Soviet revolutionary leader Joseph Stalin on the 70th anniversary of his death. 

Waiving soviet flags, holding portraits of Stalin and flowers, people of every age created a long queue in order to pay tribute to the late leader's grave at the Kremlin Necropolis.

Fidel Castro statue to be unveiled in Moscow

A bronze statue dedicated to the legendary leader of the Cuban Revolution Comandante Fidel Castro is scheduled to be unveiled on Tuesday 22 November in Moscow. 

The statue, created by sculptor Alexei Chabanenko depicts Castro in his military uniform standing on a stone with the inscription "CUBA". 

The memorial will be positioned on "Fidel Castro square", near Novopeschanaya street, in northwestern Moscow and the ceremony will be attended by Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel who is currently on an official visit in Russia

Russian communists honored Lenin's memory in Red Square

On the 98th anniversary of the death of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, hundreds of communists, workers, young men and women gathered today in Moscow's Red Square in order to pay tribute to the leader of the Great October Socialist Revolution.

The action was attended by representatives of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Lenin Komsomol, the Movement in Support of the Army, "Children of War", the "Russian Lad" movement, the Union of Soviet Officers, the All-Russian Women's Union "Hope of Russia", the "Left Front", the movement "For New Socialism" and others.

October Revolution's 104th anniversary honored in Russia

Thousands of communists, workers, men and women of every age gathered on Sunday 7th of November in Moscow's Red Square to pay tribute to the 104th anniversary of the 1917 Great October Socialist Revolution.

Holding red flags the participants laid flowers to the Lenin Mausoleum, as well as to the memorial complex to Heroes of the Revolution at Kremlin's Necropolis. In his statement to journalists the Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) Gennady Zyuganov talked about the “major holiday for all the workers of world”, pointing out some of the Revolution's great achievements.

Russia: Police attacks Communist Party rally in Moscow

Following a call by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) for a rally in Moscow on Saturday, around a thousand people gathered at the capital's Pushkinskaya Square. 

The reason for the demonstration was the decision of the Moscow authorities, according to which mandatory vaccination quotas are prescribed in the healthcare, transport and other sectors and if these are not met, companies can fire their non-vaccinated employees. 

According to the CPRF this as an unconstitutional requirement at the expense of the workers.

Lenin Mausoleum reopened to visitors after six months

Hundreds of people lined up on Saturday in Moscow's Red Square in order to visit the Mausoleum of Vladimir Lenin which reopened after closing for six months due to COVID-19 restrictions and restoration works.

According to Russian media, yesterday morning crowds began to gather near the entrance of the mausoleum thus creating long queues which were stretched out almost to the exit of Alexander Garden.

Russian communists honored the Red Army anniversary

Despite the freezing temperatures and the restrictions due to the pandemic, hundreds of workers, young men and women, members and supporters of Russian Communist Parties and Communist Youth organizations honored the Day of the heroic Red Army on February 23rd.

In Moscow, people with red banners gathered at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin Wall where they laid flowers in memory and honor of the Soviet Red Army's legendary fighters. The event was attended by a delegation of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) headed by the its Chairman Gennady Zyuganov.

Without Lenin, Russia has no future: Communists in Moscow and Saint Petersburg honored his legacy

Despite the freezing temperatures, hundreds of Russians, workers, Communist Party members, men and women attended a flower laying ceremony in Moscow's Red Square, honoring the Vladimir Lenin's 97th death anniversary. 
 
Various political parties and organizations were represented, including the CC of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), the Lenin Communist Youth Union, the social movement “Children of War”, the Union of Soviet Officers, the Left Front and others.

Russian communists paid tribute to Lenin on his 150th birth anniversary

COVID-19 lockdown could not prohibit Russian communists from paying their tribute to Vladimir Ilyich Lenin on his  150th birth anniversary.

On Wednesday 22 April, tens of workers, members and supporters of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) gathered at Lenin’s Mausoleum in Red Square where they laid flowers, paying their respect to the great revolutionary and political leader.

Russian communists mark the 96th anniversary of Vladimir Lenin's death

Today marks the 96th anniversary since the death of the greatest revolutionary of the 20th Century, the continuer of Marx and Engel's theoretical work and architect of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin

For this reason, hundreds of workers, men and women, members and supporters of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), as well as other communist groups and youth organizations, gathered at Moscow's Red Square, in order to lay flowers the Mausoleum of Lenin.

100 years of the Communist International: The declaration of Moscow international conference

On June 1-2 in Moscow there was held international conference “100-years to the Communist International and tasks of the Communist movement today”. 

As a result of discussions and exchange of views on the issues of international cooperation between communist parties a final statement was composed by the participants.

Moscow: Workers paid tribute to V.I.Lenin on the 95th anniversary of his death

Despite the freezing temperatures, a large number of workers, young men and women, Communist Party (CPRF) members and members of social movements visited Lenin's Mausoleum in Moscow's Red Square, in order to pay tribute to the great leader of the Great October Socialist Revolution, Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of his death. 

The ceremony was attended by leaders of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, regional parliaments, communists of the Moscow city and Moscow regional branches, representatives of public organizations.

"Hет" to reform: Thousands rallied against pension reform in Moscow (Photos)

Thousands of people of every age demonstrated on Sunday 2 September in Moscow and other major cities in Russia against the proposed governmental reform which rises in retirement age limits. 

Several thousand workers gathered in central Moscow in a large rally organized by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, while similar protests were reported in Novosibirsk, Simferopol, Vladivostok and other urban centers. 

"The reform that the government offers deprives our women of a normal pension. This reform doesn't give our youth the chance to get a good job," the CPRF chairman Gennady Zyuganov said at the Moscow rally.
