Communist and Workers' Parties denounce detention and expulsion of Soha Bechara by Greek authorities

On Wednesday 12 July 2023,  Lebanese militant Soha Bechara, who has spent 10 years in Israeli prisons and considered a heroine of the liberation of South Lebanon from the Israeli occupation, was detained by the Greek authorities at Athens' International Airport and denied entry to Greece. She currently holds Lebanese and Swiss nationality.

Thanasis Pafilis, member of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and parliamentary spokesperson, protested to the Ministry of Citizen Protection against the detention of Bechara.

Communist and workers' youth of the world express solidarity with Venezuela's Communist Party (PCV)

Through a joint communiqué, more than 20 youth organizations from different parts of the world expressed their concern at the "advance of dangerous actions aimed at violating the political and democratic rights of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV)".

The declaration was issued between May 26-28, 2023, when the General Council of the World Federation of Democratic Youth was taking place in Havana, Cuba, where the signatory organizations met to reaffirm their anti-imperialist and democratic positions and their unwavering struggle for peace and social justice for all the peoples of the world.

 

Communist and Workers' Parties denounce Maduro Government's plans to attack and ban the Communist Party of Venezuela!

In a joint statement, Communist and Workers' Parties from across the world strongly denounce the plans (read here & here) of the leadership of Venezuela's governing party (PSUV) to assault the Communist Party of Venezuela. 

Earlier this year (February 2023), in similar joint statement, 30 Communist Parties condemned the anti-communist machinations of the social democratic Venezuelan government.

A number of Communist Parties and organizations from Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan undersign a joint statement about the situation in Donbass. 

 

Under the title "Fascism can't be healed", they call for internationalist workers' solidarity against the imperialists and their fascist puppets.

Communist and Workers’ Parties strongly denounce NATO's aggressive agenda

A YEAR OF CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC — JOINT STATEMENT BY COMMUNIST AND WORKERS' PARTIES

A year after the outbreak of the Coronavirus Pandemic, Communist and Workers' Parties from all over the world issued a statement assessing the current situation and pledge to continue the struggle for public, free and universal healthcare services, as well as for protection of the workers-people's democratic rights.

KKE: The joint action and coordination of the Communist Parties under pandemic conditions

The recent successful tele-conference held by the Communist and Workers’ Parties that cooperate within the framework of the European Communist Initiative, in which 24 parties from many European countries participate, constituted a new form of exchanging opinions and coordination of their efforts.
