Dear Comrades, 

The Communist Party of Sweden wishes to thank the Communist Party of Cuba for hosting the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties, and to also thank the people of Cuba for the hospitality shown to us. We reiterate our solidarity with the struggle of the Cuban people and condemn the long-standing US blockade of Cuba. A blockade that in its very essence is economic warfare designed to crush the admirable achievements of the Cuban revolution, and to make the Cuban people bend to the demands and exploitation of US imperialism. We demand an immediate end to the imperialist blockade, which for more than six decades has caused the people of Cuba immeasurable harm and hardships. 

Communist and Workers' Parties: Joint Declaration in solidarity with the struggle of the Iranian people

More than 40 Communist and Workers' Parties, participants at the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) in Havana, Cuba in October 2022, co-sign a joint statement in support of the struggle of the people of Iran, calling for peace, justice and progress. The statement is the following:

"We, the undersigned communist and workers' parties, are following with concern the latest developments in the Iran since mid-September 2022.

KKE responds to the statement issued by the Russian Communist Workers’ Party (RCWP)

In response to a statement issued by the RCWP after the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties that was held in Havana, the International Relations Section of the CC of the KKE notes the following:

“We have read, to our sorrow, the statement issued by the Russian Communist Workers’ Party (RCWP) following the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties (IMCWP) in Havana. We believe that it is engaging in another attack, in a non-comradely or at least a critical spirit, against the KKE, the Communist Party of Mexico, the Communist Party of the Workers of Spain, and the Communist Party of Turkey that took the lead in issuing the Joint Statement of 43 Communist and Workers’ Parties and 30 Communist Youth Organizations. The Joint Statement condemned the imperialist war in Ukraine based on class, communist criteria as a war between the USA-NATO-EU and capitalist Russia.

Resolution to Condemn the Blockade and to Stand in Solidarity with Cuba

The undersigned delegations attending the 22^nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties, held in Havana in October 2022 express: 

Our strongest condemnation of the unjust, illegal and inhumane blockade maintained by the government of the United States against Cuba and demand, once again, its immediate and unconditional end. 

We urge the international community to demand that the U.S. government comply with the numerous UN General Assembly Resolutions condemning the blockade and calling for its lifting.

Dear comrades,

We are holding the 22^nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties in the face of the difficulties caused by the pandemic. We are meeting here, in Havana, to continue the effort that began in 1998 in Athens and in the years that followed travelled to many regions across the world.

The 22nd IMCWP kicks off in Havana, Cuba

Delegates from 65 countries from all continents have gathered in Havana in order to attend the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) which is taking place between 27-29 October at the Havana Convention Palace.

"United we are stronger" is the slogan of the event in which representatives of 82 political forces and 31 delegations headed by their presidents or general secretaries will participate.

Havana, Cuba's capital city, will be the hosting place of the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) on October 27-29, 2022.

The theme of the 22nd IMCWP will be: “Solidarity with Cuba and all the struggling people. United we are stronger in the anti-imperialist struggle, alongside social and popular movements, we confront capitalism and its policies, the threat of fascism and war. For the defense of peace, environment, workers' rights, solidarity and socialism”.

Cuba to host the International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties in 2022

Havana, Cuba's capital city, will be the hosting place of the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) on October 27-29, 2022. 

According to 902 portal, the decision was taken in yesterday's session of the Working Group of IMCWP in Lisbon, under the participation of 25 Communist and Workers Parties, 

Pyongyang to host the International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties in 2020

Pyongyang, the capital city of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), will be the hosting place of the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) in 2020. The hosting party will be the Worker's Party of Korea. 

The above was unanimously agreed in the last session of the 21st IMCWP which took place in Izmir, Turkey from 18 to 20 October, being co-hosted by the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) and the Communist Party of Greece (KKE).
