Communist Party of Greece condemns the massacre of minorities by Syria's jihadist regime

In a statement (here in Greek) concerning the massacre of more than 1,000 civilians, mostly Alawites, by the jihadist ruling forces of Syria, the Press Office of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) stresses out:

"The KKE condemns the heinous crimes in Syria by the jihadist regime, which was imposed with the intervention of the states of Turkey and Israel and with the support of the US and the EU.

These crimes, which are directed against the Syrian people and especially against national and religious minorities, bear the stamp of those who supported this intervention and welcomed the fall of the Assad government, among them the Greek government and the other parties of the Euro-NATO bloc, PASOK, SYRIZA, etc.

The New Democracy government, in particular, bears enormous responsibility because it cultivated, through the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Gerapetritis, when he visited Syria on February 9, false expectations of supposedly "inclusive policies" and a "smooth political transition" from the jihadist government. It is proven once again that imperialist wars, but also "peace" with a gun to the people's head, are the two sides of the same coin, capitalist barbarity and the redistribution of the world, which is underway with painful consequences for the peoples."
