As 902.gr portal reported, the Communists blocked the road by staying firmly in front of the trucks with banners and flags thus forcing them to stop and retreat.
According to information, the vehicles were carrying ammunition from a local army camp to Ukraine, according to the bilateral agreement signed between the Greek government and Zelensky's regime.
Slogans like "NATO Killers Go Home" on them were written by the protesters on the trucks as they were retreating.
KKE MEP Vasilis Metaxas, who participated in the mobilization, stressed: "We denounce the ND government which, on behalf of domestic business groups, is emptying Greek camps of ammunition, thus involving the country in an unjust imperialist war. The government bears huge responsibilities since it involves us in the bloodshed of the peoples. The peoples have the power to intervene powerfully in the developments and provide a way out of the imperialist wars. We continue, we will not leave them in the lurch all over Greece".
