KKE: US-NATO decision to allow Ukraine to use long-range missiles against Russia is 'a dangerous escalation'
"The decision made by
the United States and other NATO member-states to allow the Zelensky
regime to use long-range missiles within Russian territory constitutes
an extremely dangerous escalation and is another step towards a
generalisation and further expansion of the NATO-Russia war already
underway," a statement issued by the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) on Monday said.
"Our country is being actively involved in multiple ways in the
conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East and is at risk of becoming the
target of retaliation in the event of a generalised war, with the full
responsibility of the government and the other parties of the
EuroAtlantic arc who support this involvement," the KKE underlined.
"The slogan "Greece out of the slaughterhouses of the war" that was heard loudly on Sunday, in the huge anti-imperialist march for the anniversary of the Polytechnic, must be heard again, even louder, throughout Greece by thousands of strikers on Wednesday, the day of the general workers' strike," the party added.
