Trump declares Marxists and Communists key enemies of the United States

“The enemy from within, the fascists, the Marxists, the communists are more dangerous than Russia and China and other people”, – said Donald Trump on 6 October during his rally in Juneau, Wisconsin.

Trump is countering the Democratic Party in the presidential race by accusing Marxists of being guilty of all the troubles in America. When the bourgeois state fails to manage domestic issues it is always convenient to find an enemy and accuse it of all the sins. Moreover, Trump is unable to come up with any constructive strategy to fight Kamala Harris, so he is bringing back the age-old threat of communism as a political tool.

However, the former president’s team overlooked a couple of key points in the strategy. Firstly, using the red color to intimidate the population is as old as Donald Trump himself. It’s becoming increasingly clear that communism isn’t some kind of mythical evil. In fact, it is the only way out of the misery, poverty, and barbarity or capitalism as we’ve seen in some countries. The recent success of communists in Greece just goes to show this. People are losing trust in capitalism because it hasn’t delivered on its promise of improving the lives of the working class.

Donald Trump’s populist statements are full of contradictions. He sees no differences between communists and fascists. A lot of opposite ideas are mixed up in his head. Trump named Democrats the fascists when criticizing their migration policy. But his harsh rhetoric echoes similar claims to those of the rising far-right parties of Europe which borrow some of the reactionary, dangerous, and eclectic ideas of fascist ideology.

“How about allowing people to come to an open border, 13,000 of which were murderers, many of them murdered far more than one person, and they’re now happily living in the United States. You know now a murder, I believe this, it’s in their genes. And we got a lot of bad genes in our country right now,” – he told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt.

Trump has already managed to convince the American public that he doesn’t hesitate to make contradictory and ambiguous statements.

In particular, all of these rambling thoughts, as we’ve been able to determine, are actually drawn from the reports and briefings of ultra-conservative think tanks, such as the Claremont Institute and the American Strategy Group. By the way, the businessman has denied any links with these organizations. But these are the same people who are leading the development of the 2025 plan. One of the reports of these organizations titled Foreign Initiated, Supported, & Directed Subversion of Constitutional Order in the United States includes the following statements:

“Our enemies are Russia and China, neo-fascist globalists continuing the cause of Fabian socialists, Islamist jihadists, and American citizens who collaborate with them.” Trump and this think tank are trying to shift our focus to these made-up ideological concepts that don’t reflect reality. They also try to convince people that existing minority rights organizations are terrorist ones backed by Marxists, as they tried to do with BLM. “November 2019, memos were written for the Trump NSC documenting that ANTIFA and BLM are Marxist revolutionary enemies to the Constitution, including the details and legal steps, per 8 U.S.C. 1189, why they could and should be designate Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO).”

The authors of the reports also say that America is already in a state of red revolution, and that it needs to get out of it by creating new agencies that require financial investment. If Trump wins, there’s a good chance the conservative group he relies on will create images of the enemy to boost the budgets of law enforcement agencies.

At the same time, Trump and his think tank say that all existing democratic institutions are working to destroy our own Constitution. The ultra-conservatives claim that it’s one of the main DNC goals. “Institutions Established to Protect Us From Our Enemies Have Been Subverted and Are Being Used In War Operations Against the Constitution.”

Meanwhile, the Trumpists will violate human rights to get rid of anyone who disagrees with the new authoritarian regime. Trump says that such retribution “allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.” Ultimately, this is a crime against one’s own Constitution.

Trump’s comments about those he considers enemies should be taken seriously. Because the conservative fanatics have already put together plans to tackle these enemies. If Trump wins, can the U.S. expect a wave of purges and a witch-hunt reminiscent of McCarthyism in the 1950s among the left movements? This is not to say that Kamala Harris is a savior. In either case, it is a loss. Neither candidate can give Americans the true democracy that people need now. That’s because they are the main “enemies from within” for Americans, serving the bourgeoisie in power who are incapable of representing the interests of the working class.
