On Sunday 29/10, a mass demonstration in support of Palestine took place in Athens, following a call by the All Workers’ Militant Front (PAME).
Thousands of demonstrators gathered outside the US embassy and then marched to the Israeli embassy.
Addressing the rally, the trade union representatives demanded an end to the massacre of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and to the Israeli occupation.

They defended the right of the Palestinian people to have their own homeland on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and they condemned NATO and the EU as being jointly responsible for the crime against Palestine, as well as the Greek government for abstaining from the UN vote on the humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.

بعد نداء وجهته جبهة النضال العمالية "بامِه" أقيمت في يوم الأحد 29/10 مظاهرة ضخمة مؤيدة لفلسطين في أثينا. حيث احتشد آلاف المتظاهرون خارج السفارة الأمريكية ثم ساروا باتجاه السفارة الإسرائيلية.
و طالب ممثلو النقابات في كلماتهم بوقف المذبحة الجارية بحق الشعب الفلسطيني في قطاع غزة وإنهاء الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، ودافعوا عن حق الشعب الفلسطيني في أن يكون له وطنه على حدود عام 1967 مع القدس الشرقية عاصمة له. كما و أدان المتظاهرون حلف شمال الأطلسي والاتحاد الأوروبي باعتبارهما مسؤولين بنحو مشترك عن الجريمة المقترفة ضد فلسطين، و أدانوا كذلك، الحكومة اليونانية التي امتنعت عن التصويت في الأمم المتحدة على قرار إنساني لوقف إطلاق النار في غزة.
