A quadripartite meeting between the Communist Parties of Greece (KKE), Workers of Spain (PCTE), Mexico (PCM) and Turkey (TKP) is going to be held on Friday 8 July in Athens.
The theme of the meeting, which will take place at the KKE Party headquarters in Perissos, is "We strengthen the workers-people's struggle against the imperialist war and capital's attack, for socialism". According to Rizospastis, all the four parties will be represented by their heads. More specifically, the participant comrades are:
— Dimitris Koutsoumbas, General Secretary of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE)
— Ástor García, General Secretary of the CC of the Communist Party of the Workers of Spain (PCTE)
— Kemal Okuyan, General Secretary of the CC of the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP)
— Pavel Blanco Cabrera, First Secretary of the CC of the Communist Party of Mexico (PCM)
An introductory speech will be delivered by the General Secretary of the CC of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoumbas.
On Saturday 9 July, the heads of the four Parties will attend a large political rally in the city of Volos, within the framework of the 31st Anti-imperialist Camp of the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE).
It must be noted that the four Communist Parties maintain long-term comradely ties and had recently taken the initiative for the Joint Statement of the Communist and Workers' Parties on the imperialist war in Ukraine which was signed by 42 Communist Parties and 30 Communist Youths from all over the world. The four Communist Parties participate in the "International Communist Review", while three of them (KKE, PCTE, TKP) are members of the European Communist Initiative.
