Russia: Workers honored Stalin's 142nd birthday

Despite snow, the severe cold weather and the pandemic restrictions, hundreds of working men and women in Russia paid tribute to Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin on his 142nd birth anniversary on December 21.

In many Russian cities, workers, members and cadres of Communist Parties, laid flowers to monuments dedicated to the Soviet leader, expressing their admiration and gratitude to Stalin despite the decades of anti-Soviet, anti-Stalinist propaganda.

In Moscow's Red Square, communists, Komsomol members, supporters of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) and other people laid flowers at the grave of Stalin in the Kremlin Necropolis. The CPRF delegation was headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee Yu.V.Afonin and the Deputy Chairmen of the CC of the CPRF, V.I. Kashin and D.G. Novikov .

Similar events took place in other regions of Russia, including Stavropol, Kaliningrad, Novosibirsk, Tambov, etc.

In a statement for Stalin's birth anniversary, the Ideological Commission of the Central Committee of the Russian Communist Workers Party (RCWP) praises the legacy of the Bolshevik revolutionary and leader.

"From year to year, the ideologists of the capitalist states and media corporations are making a lot of efforts to create a negative image of the person who led the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in the most difficult times. But the bourgeois propagandists were unable to carry out their dirty deed. Despite all the streams of lies, millions of workers and communists, people of all nationalities, ages and professions, remember Stalin as the leader of the working people, the successor of Lenin's cause", points out, among others, the statement, underlining that "Stalin made a great contribution to the theory of Marxism-Leninism".

"It is not difficult for us communists to answer the question: why do millions of people all over the world remember and respect Stalin? Because Stalin and the Bolsheviks, as students of Lenin, were people of the idea, they fought not for their own good, but lived exclusively in the interests of the working people", the RCWP statement adds.
