Today marks the 96th anniversary since the death of the greatest revolutionary of the 20th Century, the continuer of Marx and Engel's theoretical work and architect of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
For this reason, hundreds of workers, men and women, members and supporters of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), as well as other communist groups and youth organizations, gathered at Moscow's Red Square, in order to lay flowers the Mausoleum of Lenin.
The event was attended by a delegation of the CC of the CPRF headed by Chairman Gennady Zyuganov.
The event was attended by a delegation of the CC of the CPRF headed by Chairman Gennady Zyuganov.
Zyuganov delivered a speech praising Lenin's personality and role and urged President Vladimir Putin to carefully study the bolshevik leader's work. "Lenin is a scientist, revolutionary, an outstanding statesman, a great seer and builder of a new world. Lenin was only 25 years old when he began to explore the development of capitalism in Russia. He studied almost 500 primary sources and made a brilliant discovery. Lenin discovered that capitalism is developing unevenly", said among other things the CPRF Chairman.
Refering to Russian President Putin, Zyuganov also stresses out: "Lenin, Stalin and Victory are inseparable! And when today Putin talks about the Great Victory, about our dignity, about historical truth, he must understand: it is impossible to build facts if you deny the role of Lenin in the reconstruction of Russian statehood in the form of the USSR. It is impossible to understand the history of the Victory, if you do not understand the role of Stalin".
Chairman Zyuganov underlined that the Russian people "must rely on Leninist legacy and the Stalinist feat", announcing that the Party will organize several events in 2020 in order to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Lenin's birth and the 75 years since the Great Antifascist Victory.
"This will be the answer to Polish nationalists, to Bandera in Ukraine, and to provocateurs across the ocean who are expanding NATO and preparing for new aggressive campaigns" he said.
