The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and the All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) have expressed their solidarity and support towards the working class and the people of Turkey who had been affected by the deadly 6.7-magnitude earthquake.
In a message to the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP), the International Relations Section of the CC of the KKE
expresses its support to the people of Turkey for the numerous victims and the huge
damages caused, one more time, by the recent disastrous earthquake in Eastern
Turkey.
The message
of the KKE points out that is not inevitable for the people to pay such a heavy
blood tax due to such phenomena. “There are socio-economic reasons for the
degradation of anti-seismic protection, the roots are in the nature of the
capitalist system itself, that the various anti-people governments serve”.
Through this
message to TKP, The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) delivers its sincere
condolences and solidarity to the working class and the popular strata of Turkey.
From its
side, the All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) has issued a press release
expressing its “condolences to the working people and the Trade Unions of
Turkey for the victims of yesterday’s earthquake”, pointing out that “these
difficult moments, our thoughts are with you”.
“The class
movement of Greece stands by your side”, concludes the PAME statement.
