Despite the freezing temperatures, a large number of workers, young men and women, Communist Party (CPRF) members and members of social movements visited Lenin's Mausoleum in Moscow's Red Square, in order to pay tribute to the great leader of the Great October Socialist Revolution, Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of his death.
The ceremony was attended by leaders of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, regional parliaments, communists of the Moscow city and Moscow regional branches, representatives of public organizations.
After the ceremony, the Chairman of the CPRF Gennady Zyuganov made a statement to reporters. “Today we came to worship the blessed memory of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin", said Zyuganov, "one of the most brilliant and talented people on the planet".
He pointed out that Lenin was "a brilliant thinker who proposed a policy of building a new world, where labor will rule, not capital, where power will belong to the people, not bureaucracy, and where every person will feel worthy. Even Churchill, who hated the Soviet government and called for its suffocation, was forced to say: “When Lenin's mind was shining, he saw the whole world at once, all his shame and injustice. Such people are born once in 100 years".
“Lenin is a brilliant politician", Gennady Zyuganov noted further and added: "he understood that in order to transform the world, a new type party is needed. And he created such a party. The Communist Party, the Bolshevik Party turned out to be the most successful, the strongest and most energetic in that terrible, difficult, military and crisis time."
The CPRF Chairman refered to Lenin's outstanding personality and achievements, pointing out that "Soviet power was the highest achievement of world civilization".
