91 communist and workers' parties from all over the world have registered to participate at the 20th International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties, which will be held in Athens between November 23-25.
The 20th IMCWP will be hosted at the headquarters of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) in Perissos under the subject "The contemporary working class and its alliance. The tasks of its political vanguard – the Communist and Worker’s Parties – in the struggle against exploitation and imperialist wars, for the rights of the workers and of the peoples, for peace, for socialism”.
The International Meeting coincides with the 100th anniversary of the KKE which will be celebrated with a large political and cultural event on Sunday 25 November at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus. Numerous popular artists will perform for the event, while a major speech will be delivered by the Party's General Secretary Dimitris Koutsoumbas.
