Under the slogan "Our needs to the forefront", the All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) calls the working people in mass participation in the demonstration which will take place on Saturday 8 September in Thessaloniki, during the official opening of the city's International Fair.
"No compromise with miserable life, no more waiting", writes the PAME statement, calling the working men and women, the self-employed and unemployed people, the youth to raise their voice against the SYRIZA-ANEL government's mockery and anti-people policy.
"Enough with their lies and deceptions" points out the statement, writing that "the SYRIZA-ANEL coalition government openly and shamelessly leads our people in adventures for the profits of a handful of domestic business groups. It penetrates even deeper in the game for the control of energy resources and roads".
PAME condemns the Tsipras' government for the agreement with FYROM, stating that through this deal the role of NATO's murderous alliance in the Balkans is deepening. The statement also mentions the fact that, this year, the USA are the honorary country at the Thessaloniki International Fair, "the american monopolies and multinationals which are coming to promote their merchandise".
The statement also writes: "No working man can feel safe when he sees that knives are coming out in our region, with plans for borders change. We demonstrate our opposition to the participation of our country in the imperialist plans and interventions in the region and demand its disengagement, the closure of bases of death with which the SYRIZA-ANEL government filled Greece, from Evros to Crete, NATO out of the Balkans and the Aegean".
The demonstration has been scheduled to begin at 6 pm local hour, at Aristotelous Square. The same day, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will attend the inauguration ceremony of the Thessaloniki International Fair and will deliver the annual speech, announcing the policy plans of the government for the next period.
